Thai Yoga Bodywork

What is Thai Yoga Massage?

Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient form of bodywork that uses stretching, accupressure and applied kinesthetics in order to awaken the energy lines in the subtle body (Sen), encourage new blood flow and mobilize the joints and spine.

I also like to personally refer to this type of healing therapy as Applied Thai Yoga. Many of the movements that are used are like have a personal yoga session applied to your body, with little or no effort on the part of the receiver.

Sessions are performed on the floor with a rhythmic pressure that brings both giver and receiver into a meditative state.  Breath awareness is used as a guiding emphasis of the therapy.

What services do you offer?

I will be offering THAI YOGA MASSAGE WORKSHOPS in the Austin area in the near future.

Check out the Workshops and Events page for the latest schedule.

What qualifications do you have?

In February 2012, I was granted a Certificate of Completion for 60-hrs of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage training by Sunshine Massage School in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  The school is accredited and regulated by the Thai Ministry of Education and the Thai Ministry of Health.

In addition to this training in Thai Yoga Massage, in June 2011 I completed Level 1 Training in Craniosacral Therapy, which adds dimension to my ability to work with energies of the body.
